Recap: Schlagle Stallions vs. Chanute Blue Comets
The Schlagle Stallions lost against the Chanute Blue Comets back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Schlagle took a serious blow against Chanute, falling 46-10. Schlagle has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
It was another big night for Quinton Harding, who rushed for 280 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries. Harding really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Kris Harding ii was another key contributor, throwing for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 passes.
Schlagle's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.0 points per game. As for Chanute, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Schlagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chanute will take on Tonganoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tonganoxie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
