Basketball Recap: Cardinal Mooney Catholic Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bishop Foley last Friday, Cardinal Mooney Catholic came back down to earth. The Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals came up short against Everest Collegiate on Tuesday, falling 68-48. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Everest Collegiate apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Cardinal Mooney Catholic's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Everest Collegiate, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cardinal Mooney Catholic and Lutheran North will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cardinal Mooney Catholic is facing Lutheran North at the right time seeing as Lutheran North is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Everest Collegiate will take on Divine Child in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Divine Child has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
