It was a good run, but Neuse Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Research Triangle Raptors by a score of 3-2.

Neuse Charter took Research Triangle into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 20-25, 22-25, 15-9.

Layla Johnson paced Neuse Charter's offense, picking up ten kills. Johnson got some help from Ella Highfil and her 12 assists. Finally, McKenzie Ward and Lily Temple kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked four attacks.

Neuse Charter's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Research Triangle, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
