Basketball Game Preview: Myers Park Mustangs vs. Providence Panthers + How To Watch

The Myers Park Mustangs will face off against the Providence Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Myers Park lost to Marvin Ridge on the road by a 42-25 margin. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Myers Park's loss came about despite a quality game from Summer Thomason, who posted seven points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Providence). They put the hurt on Nation Ford with a sharp 75-54 victory on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Myers Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Providence, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Myers Park couldn't quite finish off Providence in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 36-34. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
