Football Recap: Pleasantville Takes a Loss

Pleasantville lost against Rancocas Valley back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Greyhounds fell 20-8 to the Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 110th, while the Red Devils are ranked 32nd).

Rancocas Valley was led to victory by Sayvien Adams and Jameer Bellamy. Adams rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, while Bellamy rushed for 75 yards and one score.

Pleasantville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rancocas Valley, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Pleasantville has already played their next matchup, a 32-6 loss against Seneca on the 12th. As for Rancocas Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-6 win against Eastside on the 13th.
