 Caldwell County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  9-4 to the Trigg County Wildcats. Caldwell County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Trigg County apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in March.
  alexis wood put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and five unearned) runs off   nine  hits. Wood was also solid in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Brylee Butts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  adley lewis, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-5.
 Caldwell County's loss dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Trigg County, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.
 Caldwell County will be playing at home against Graves County at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Caldwell County is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8  runs per game  this season.
