Volleyball Recap: Glenbrook North Takes a Loss

Glenbrook North was the 2-1 winner over Maine South when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans fell 2-0 to the Hawks on Tuesday. The Spartans' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Glenbrook North was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Maine South work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24.

Luke King paced Glenbrook North's offense, picking up eight kills. King got some help from Devin Lee and his eight assists.

Glenbrook North's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Maine South, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Glenbrook North will face off against rival Evanston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maine South is set to square off against their familiar foe Deerfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
