Alamosa had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Durango Demons as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Mean Moose, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.
Alamosa was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-23.
Alamosa found their leader in sophomore Leela Gutierrez, who had eight digs and one assist.
Alamosa's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Durango, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.
Coincidentally, Alamosa and Durango will both be playing Pagosa Springs the next time they take the court. The Mean Moose will head out to face the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Demons will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
