Basketball Recap: Noah Huxta's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Dayspring Christian Academy over Lancaster Country Day

After flying high against New Covenant Christian last Tuesday, Dayspring Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors took a 58-40 bruising from Lancaster Country Day on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with Lancaster Country Day recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Dayspring Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Huxta, who on his way to 21 points. Gabe Mellinger was another key player, to rack up 11 points and eight boards.

Dayspring Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Lancaster Country Day, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Dayspring Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-53 loss against La Academia Charter on the 24th. As for Lancaster Country Day, they will take on High Point Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
