Basketball Recap: Cade Culpepper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clarkdale over Taylorsville

Clarkdale won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They came up short against the Taylorsville Tartars, falling 59-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since November 12th.

Clarkdale's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cade Culpepper, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds. Culpepper is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Connor Mcdill, who posted 19 points.

Clarkdale has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Taylorsville, their record is now 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarkdale will welcome Stringer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season. Taylorsville will take on West Jones in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
