Volleyball Recap: Torrey Pines Falcons vs. Classical Academy Caimans
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Torrey Pines had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Classical Academy Caimans. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.
Torrey Pines had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-13, 25-17.
Declan Flanagan paced Torrey Pines' offense, picking up 17 kills. Flanagan got some help from Zach Lau and his 25 assists. Benjamin Yung and Ben Soudak kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
