Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Vikings vs. Dunmore Bucks

The Riverside Vikings will take on the Dunmore Bucks at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Dunmore likes a good challenge.

Riverside easily dispatched Western Wayne last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Riverside fell just short of Holy Cross by a score of 60-57 on Sunday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Vikings have suffered since January 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Dunmore was able to grind out a solid win over Holy Redeemer on Wednesday, taking the game 59-52.

The victory got Dunmore back to even at 10-10. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 21-2.

Everything went Riverside's way against Dunmore in their previous meeting back in January, as Riverside made off with a 72-51 win. Will Riverside repeat their success, or does Dunmore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
