Softball Game Preview: Borger Bulldogs vs. Perryton Rangers

Borger has gone 7-0-1 against Perryton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Borger will head out to challenge Perryton at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Borger and six for Perryton.

On Friday, Borger came up short against Canyon and fell 8-4.

Borger got a good showing from Zoey Haggard, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Lila Breedlove was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Grace Cave, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Perryton came up short against Hereford on Friday, falling 8-2.

Borger's record is now 5-21. As for Perryton, their record is now 5-12.

Borger took their win against Perryton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3. Will Borger repeat their success, or does Perryton has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
