Baseball Recap: Fremont Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

There's no place like home for Fremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the New Haven Bulldogs by a score of 8-5 on Saturday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 6-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Cayden Hufnagle, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Tyler Miller also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fremont pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for New Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
