Basketball Preview: Sandpoint Bulldogs vs. University Titans
The Sandpoint Bulldogs and the University Titans will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sandpoint is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season.
Sandpoint is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing West Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. Sandpoint blew past West Valley 54-31 on Monday.

Sandpoint found their leader in sophomore Brecken Mire, who posted 15 points along with eight boards and seven assists. That's the most boards Mire has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Livia Driggs, who put up 14 points.
Sandpoint was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mead.
Sandpoint's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
