Sonora has gone a perfect 4-0 against Savanna recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 3:15 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Sonora 2.7, Savanna 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Sonora's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Crean Lutheran hitters got past them. The Raiders lost 11-4 to the Saints on Tuesday.

Sonora got a good showing from Tucker Hunnicutt, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs Hunnicutt has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Sonora saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Lietzau, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Savanna came up short against Garden Grove on Tuesday and fell 7-4.

Sonora's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for Savanna, they dropped their record down to 13-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Sonora came out on top in a nail-biter against Savanna in their previous meeting back in February of 2018, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
