Volleyball Recap: Emily Eades Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Berean Christian

Highlands Christian won the last time they faced Berean Christian, and Ali Diaz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Knights came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Saturday thanks in part to Diaz, who had 15 digs, five kills, and two blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Highlands Christian not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Berean Christian between 14 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14.

Highlands Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emily Eades, who had nine digs and two aces.

Highlands Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Berean Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highlands Christian will venture away from home to take on Parkridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Berean Christian, they will head out to face off against Glades Day at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
