Softball Recap: Anaconda Gets the Win

Anaconda and Plains-Hot Springs pushed the score to 12-10 the last time they played Plains-Hot Springs, but on Saturday defenses reigned supreme. The Copperheads came out on top in a nail-biter against the Horsemen, sneaking past 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Copperheads: when they faced off against the Horsemen two weeks ago, they had to take a 12-10 loss.

Anaconda has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-12 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Plains-Hot Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Anaconda has already played their next matchup, a 26-2 defeat against Troy on the 23rd. Plains-Hot Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
