Softball Recap: Fort Frye Comes Up Short

Fort Frye lost against St. Marys back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cadets took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. The match marked the Cadets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fort Frye saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmie Duskey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Fort Frye's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for St. Marys, their win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Fort Frye didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Point Pleasant on the 7th. As for St. Marys, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Ritchie County on the 2nd.
