Softball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took an 18-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piper Pirates. Even though they lost, the Chargers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Addaline Hall was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Kutina, who went 1-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

West's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Piper, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

West wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-6 defeat against Emporia on the 16th. Piper does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
