Basketball Recap: Rolla Comes Up Short

Rolla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 54-29 to the South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] Patriots. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] found their leader in sophomore Sarah Elmore, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Elmore's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Callie Hinds, who went 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and five assists.

Rolla's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett], the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Rolla will challenge Yarbrough/Felt at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett], they will head out to square off against Manzanola at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] is facing Manzanola at the right time seeing as Manzanola is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
