Baseball Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens lost against Muscle Shoals last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Eagles took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Athens saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Muscle Shoals, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-10.

While Athens had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
