Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Center Tigers vs. Holgate Tigers

The Liberty Center Tigers will be taking part in a tournament against the Holgate Tigers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Liberty Center and six for Holgate.

On Thursday, Liberty Center had to suffer through a 53-26 loss at the hands of Wauseon. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Indians are ranked 145th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Holgate duked it out withNapoleon on Thursday. Holgate took a blow against Napoleon, falling 44-14. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-3.

Holgate's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Liberty Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Liberty Center strolled past Holgate in their previous meeting on December 3rd by a score of 33-14. Will Liberty Center repeat their success, or does Holgate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
