Pisgah has gone a perfect 3-0 against North Buncombe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bears will take on the Black Hawks at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Bears fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Tuesday's season opener. They managed a 52-48 victory over Asheville School (Independent) on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, North Buncombe gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener last Friday. They really took it to Owen for the full four quarters, racking up a 78-10 win. The Black Hawks have beaten the Warhorses the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warhorses has come to flipping the script.

Pisgah better keep an eye on Grace Parker. She was instrumental in North Buncombe's win, going 6-for-8 en route to 18 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Those five assists gave Parker a new career-high. Lily Metcalf was another key player, shooting 63% from the field on her way to 9 points and five steals.

North Buncombe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Pisgah against North Buncombe in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 69-40 victory. In that game, the Bears amassed a halftime lead of 41-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
