Volleyball Recap: Clear Creek Has No Trouble Against Kingwood

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clear Creek walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kingwood Mustangs on Thursday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Clear Creek's offense was headlined by Mia Eason and Kenna Mukabana, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Camdyn Cole and her 39 assists. Katie Luedde controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Kingwood had strong showings from Maggie Pugh, who had seven digs and one assist, and Molly O'Leary, who had seven digs.

Clear Creek's victory bumped their record up to 24-19. As for Kingwood, their loss dropped their record down to 15-26.

Coming up, Clear Creek will take on Manvel at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
