Baseball Recap: Harding Raiders vs. Struthers Wildcats

Harding extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-6 in the process. They came up short against the Struthers Wildcats, falling 14-3. The Raiders were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Harding saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcellus Murillo-Lang, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Drew Chizmar was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Struthers is 2-1 when Chizmar posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Eddie Bradley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs and two stolen bases.

When Harding and Struthers next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Raiders will take on Boardman and their six-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Struthers will try to stop Garfield's three-game winning streak when they meet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
