Northumberland and Middlesex are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Indians will challenge the Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northumberland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Northumberland fell victim to Mathews and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Middlesex kept a clean sheet against Westmoreland on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Eagles. The game was the first time Middlesex have beaten Westmoreland on their pitch since May 23, 2018.

The victory made it two in a row for Middlesex and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Northumberland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Northumberland suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Middlesex when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
