Baseball Game Preview: Indian Creek Eagles vs. St. Mary's Saints

The Indian Creek Eagles will head out on the road to take on the St. Mary's Saints at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Indian Creek is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Indian Creek fell victim to St. John's Catholic Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Vikings, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. Mary's, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Glenelg Country 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now won six in a row.

St. Mary's pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Indian Creek couldn't quite finish off St. Mary's in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can Indian Creek avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
