Basketball Recap: Greyson Tomlinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Pansophia Academy over Litchfield

Pansophia Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Litchfield Terriers, falling 57-36. The Pansophia Pumas were probably out for revenge after losing 60-33 to them when the teams met back in March of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Pansophia Pumas players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Greyson Tomlinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Tomlinson has been hot recently, having posted nine or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Israel Washington, who posted eight points in addition to nine boards and three blocks.

Pansophia Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Litchfield, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-12 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pansophia Academy has already played their next match (against Countryside Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Litchfield will square off against Hillsdale Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsdale Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Litchfield surely won't give up without a fight.
