Basketball Recap: Hemingway Comes Up Short

Hemingway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Johnsonville Flashes and fell 52-15. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flashes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Hemingway's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Johnsonville, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hemingway will face off against Hannah-Pamplico at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hemingway is facing Hannah-Pamplico at the right time seeing as Hannah-Pamplico is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Johnsonville, they will challenge Carvers Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carvers Bay will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Johnsonville surely won't give up without a fight.
