Basketball Recap: Shawnee Mission Christian's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Shawnee Mission Christian had lost five straight headed into Friday's match, but Ben McClure didn't let it get to six. The Shawnee Mission Christian Mustangs claimed a resounding 52-25 victory over the New Hope Christian Phoenix thanks in part to McClure, who shot 4-for-6 from long range and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. McClure is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.

Shawnee Mission Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for New Hope Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Shawnee Mission Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-41 defeat against Liberty HomeSchool Alliance on the 27th. New Hope Christian has also already played their next contest (against Heritage Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
