Softball Recap: Cascade Wins Going Away Against Grundy County

While Cascade put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Grundy County. The Champions were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. The Champions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Hunter Burt was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Alivia Fannin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The win got Cascade back to even at 4-4. As for Grundy County, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Cascade and Grundy County will both be playing Cannon County the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will host the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Champions will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
