Softball Recap: Chase County Longhorns vs. Kearney Catholic Stars
Chase County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 51st straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Kearney Catholic Stars, falling 17-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 16-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Chase County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Kearney Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
Chase County will be playing in front of their home fans against Alliance on Saturday. As for Kearney Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-3 win vs. Southern Valley/Alma on the 1st.
