Recap: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. Cedartown Bulldogs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Rockmart Yellowjackets gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Cedartown, posting a 63-36 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Rockmart has posted since November 30, 2023.
Leading Rockmart to victory were Sky Myers and Analee Morris. Myers scored 21 points along with two steals, while Morris scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Morris is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last five games she's played. Emma Hindmon was another key contributor, scoring two points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Rockmart's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Cedartown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockmart will take on Gordon Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gordon Central is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Cedartown, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
