Volleyball Recap: Telluride's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Telluride lost against Gunnison back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miners took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15.

Ella-Rose Aplin paced Telluride's offense, picking up five kills. Aplin got some help from Lillyann Mahoney and her five assists.

Telluride's defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6. As for Gunnison, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-5.

Telluride has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Monte Vista on the 1st. As for Gunnison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Del Norte on the 1st.
