Game recap: Dos Pueblos High School Football Team bests Buena

GOLETA, Calif. - Dos Pueblos (Goleta, Calif.) had its advantage, which at one point stood at 18 points, drop to five before the final whistle blew on a 24-19 victory over Buena (Ventura, Calif.).

After taking the lead on a Anthony Spiritosanto touchdown run in the first quarter, the Chargers led 17-0 at the half.

Dos Pueblos' most effective player was Spiritosanto. The senior ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.

Ben Salazar made a difference for the Bulldogs. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.

Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 9-6 win for DP.



With the win the Goleta school extended its winning streak to three games.

The Chargers (7-2) faces off against Santa Barbara in a Channel game their next time out. The Dons go into the week with a record of 6-2.
