The Renaissance Academy Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Jenkintown by a score of 45-42. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Renaissance Academy in their matchups with Jenkintown: they've now lost three in a row.

Jenkintown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tommy Walsh, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. The match was Walsh's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Desmond Trail, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.

Renaissance Academy's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. As for Jenkintown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Renaissance Academy will challenge Plumstead Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plumstead Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Jenkintown won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Chester Charter Scholars Academy at 12:30 p.m. on January 6th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Jabryl Bennett and Walsh.
