Football Recap: North Quincy Starts Season with Victory on the Road

North Quincy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Cambridge Rindge & Latin Falcons to the tune of 40-8 on Friday. The Raiders pushed the score to 33-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Leading North Quincy to victory were Ryan Sampson and Gavin Brown. Sampson threw for 169 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes, while Brown rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Sampson a new career-high in passer rating (145.5). 92 of Sampson's passing yards were hauled in by Ronan Brown.

North Quincy has already played their next contest, a 20-15 victory against Oliver Ames on the 12th. As for Cambridge Rindge & Latin, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 29-6 win against Saugus on the 12th.
