Basketball Game Preview: Tulia Hornets vs. Abernathy Antelopes

Tulia hasn't had much luck against Abernathy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tulia Hornets will be home for the holidays to greet the Abernathy Antelopes at 6:30 p.m. Tulia is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.2 points per game this season.

Tulia will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Abernathy, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Tulia walked away with a 52-40 win over Abernathy on Friday. While the Hornets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tulia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zaiden Jalomo, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points and four steals. Jalomo is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julius Johnson, who posted 18 points and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Abernathy and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Tulia, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
