Recap: Christian Academy of Madison Defenders vs. Columbus Christian Crusaders
Even though the Columbus Christian Crusaders scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Christian Academy of Madison Defenders still came out on top. Christian Academy of Madison walked away with a 70-58 victory over Columbus Christian. For Christian Academy of Madison, this counts as revenge for the 55-49 defeat Columbus Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another last Saturday.
Despite the loss, Columbus Christian still got an impressive performance from Josh Conrad, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds. Conrad continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cam Pritchard, who scored eight points along with nine assists and eight rebounds.
Christian Academy of Madison's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Columbus Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Academy of Madison's road trip will continue as they head out to face Columbus HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. One thing working in Columbus HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight contests. As for Columbus Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Pleasant View Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
