Football Recap: Rock Hill Finds Home Field Redemption Against Lancaster

There's no place like home for Rock Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-11 win over the Lancaster Bruins on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Jason Horton had an outrageously good game as he threw for 250 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes. Dominic Alexander also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Rock Hill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kimari Barber and Nigel Lightner. Another thorn in Lancaster's side was Kolben Thompson, who picked up two sacks and made five total tackles.

Rock Hill now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lancaster, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rock Hill will venture away from home to take on Hartsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lancaster, they will head out to square off against Fort Mill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins will need to watch out since the Yellow Jackets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
