Basketball Recap: Khalif Morgan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Utopian Academy for the Arts over Atlanta International

If Utopian Academy for the Arts was feeling good fresh off their 78-31 takedown of Cross Keys on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Utopian Academy for the Arts took a 62-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Atlanta International Eagles on Saturday.

Several Utopian Academy for the Arts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khalif Morgan, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Morgan is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Quevion Johnson was another key player, putting up 17 points and five rebounds.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Atlanta International, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Utopian Academy for the Arts and Atlanta International will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Utopian Academy for the Arts sees the court they'll take on Forest Park at 1:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. As for Atlanta International, their break will end when they face Galloway at 7:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
