Last Friday, Silverdale Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Christian Academy of Knoxville, taking the game 28-16.
Connor Jenne went supernova for Silverdale Academy, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Jenne got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 56 yards. 132 of Jenne's passing yards were hauled in by Cannon Rogers, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Meanwhile, Evangelical Christian ended up a good deal behind Northpoint Christian on Friday and lost 31-14. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kade Butler, who threw for 205 yards and two touchdowns. William Cheairs was another key player, picking up 113 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Evangelical Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Silverdale Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
Silverdale Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Evangelical Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 27-23 win.
