Snyder is preparing for their first  district matchup of the season  on Friday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Monahans Loboes  at 7:00  p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Snyder and seven for Monahans dating back to last season.
Snyder is headed into the  game out to prove that what happened against Levelland  on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Tigers were  outmatched by the Lobos and fell  41-14. Tigers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lobos since  Friday.
Despite their  defeat, Snyder saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Aedyn Claxton, who threw for 244 yards and a pair of  TDs, and also rushed for 67 yards, was perhaps the best of all. The Tigers' leading receiver  Kason Rinehart was  Claxton's top target yet again, picking up 85 receiving yards and one  touchdown.
 Snyder didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Keshuan Lenard and  Edmond James.
 Meanwhile, Monahans was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  on Friday as they fell  20-14 to Pecos.
 Monahans' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Snyder, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-6.
