Baseball Recap: Keefe Tech Find Success

Keefe Tech hadn't done well against Worcester Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Broncos had just enough and edged out the Eagles 6-5. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Joey Secatore made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Secatore was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season.

In other batting news, Kelton Fertel was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Zeke Bogosian was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Keefe Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Keefe Tech's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Worcester Tech, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Keefe Tech will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Douglas at 4:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Worcester Tech, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Prouty at 3:30 p.m.
