Winterboro was handed a 22-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 53-52 win over Wadley. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-57 on January 13th.

Wadley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Frisco Robertson, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Robertson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last three games he's played. JaBari Burns was another key player, shooting 55% from the field en route to 15 points and seven boards.

Winterboro's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13. As for Wadley, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-5.

Winterboro has already played their next game, a 49-26 loss against Central of Coosa County on the 29th. As for Wadley, they will challenge Alabama School for the Deaf at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
