Soccer Recap: Owatonna Takes a Loss

Owatonna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Faribault Falcons. While losing is never fun, Owatonna can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Faribault are ranked 16th).

Owatonna's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2. As for Faribault, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

Coming up, Owatonna is taking a road trip to face off against John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Faribault, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winona at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
