After only one run in their last matchup, Cheyenne made sure to put some runs up on the board against Western on Thursday. The Desert Shields put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 21-7 win. Considering the Desert Shields' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cheyenne's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Western, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cheyenne is set to square off against their familiar foe Democracy Prep Agassi Campus at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Western will challenge rival Mater Academy East Las Vegas at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
