Basketball Recap: Lee Takes a Loss

Lee fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Port Neches-Groves on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Port Neches-Groves Indians. While losing is never fun, the Ganders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1257th, while the Indians are ranked 344th).

Lee has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season. As for Port Neches-Groves, they moved to 10-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

When Lee and Port Neches-Groves next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Lee will try to stop West Brook's 17-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Port Neches-Groves will face off against Port Arthur Memorial and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
