Bridge City is 8-2 against Vidor since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bridge City Cardinals will look to defend their home field against the Vidor Pirates at 6:30 p.m.

Bridge City is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since February 7th on Saturday. They fell just short of Santa Fe by a score of 5-3.

Meanwhile, while Vidor put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Tarkington. Vidor blew past Tarkington 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Alyssa Korman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Vidor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tarkington only posted a batting average of .250.

Vidor has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. Bridge City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1.

Everything went Bridge City's way against Vidor in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Bridge City made off with a 12-0 victory. Will Bridge City repeat their success, or does Vidor have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
